Days 16 and Diez y Siete (17)

Hello Fellow Bloggers & Readers! It's Abel and it's my second week with the journal :) We've succesfully managed to get the journal to all three of us and now it's time to start back with me. I apologize to those very few who DO happen to take the time to read [[mainly Nick & Jess]] for not bloggin' yesterday as I was busy helping my dad instal our
new dishwasher [[and thank God! I was getting tired of washing all the dishes by hand]].

Anyways today was ok, I would say the only think fun was in my graphic arts class today where we furthered our discussion on nominees for SkillsUSA. I'm running for president for the orginization :D I really hope I get elected, I have to give a speech tommorrow. I only have one other person going against me but I'm not too sure what the outcome will be.

Other than that the day went on, I missed my bus home and had to wait an hour for my mom to get off work to pick me up. And when I got home I read my usual 20pgs I have to read for my english class. I'm reading the book "The Lovely Bones." It's really good so far and pretty sad.

Ok so onto the tasks:P

Mondays task:

DRAW LINES WHILE IN MOTION, ON THE BUS, ON A TRAIN, WHILE WALKING.

I only did it while walking and on the bus. Heres what my lines look like:

So that was monday. Today's task:

Here are my circles :)

Idk why, but i put a lil pompom on there cause it's also a circle.
Well til tommorrow, Bye everyone.

Day 15 (really late) ~ Nick

Wow I must be the worst blogger in the world. No worries though, today I successfully passed the journal on to Abel. May he do a much better job then I. So anyways today on the Sunday August the thirtieth me and my friend Shalee went job-hunting everywhere around the Tucson Spectrum shopping center and also applied at the McDonald's on Cardinal and Valencia. Well it seems that no one was hiring at the moment. We constantly heard "We're not hiring now, but we are accepting applications, would you like to fill one out?" So we did even with low hopes :(

Well before I handed over the journal to Abel I completed and documented my final task of the week:

"Glue, staple or tape these pages together."
I chose to use the first of these options. I found some glue that was about 10 years old, so I wasn't sure how well it would work. But I also found some spray adhesive that my brother bought in the last year.

So using these tools I glued on the strips from the previous task onto today's page, even glueing back on the missing piece ^_^
So finally after all was said and done the pages were glued together. It would take some tearing to separate them.

Well my week with the journal is over. I guess ya'lls won't hear from me for the next few weeks. =/ But I ask you to wish my luck in my search for a job ;). Untill next time,

Day 14 (a little late) ~ Nick

Well my camera died =/
I decided to improvise using my buddies camera phone in Physics to document the journal's progress.

Well the journal's task read:

"Tear strips Rip it up!"
SO I did that here:

and here:

and here:

Mwahahaha I ripped and shredded the crap out of those pages. =]
I actually accidentally tore a little piece out >.<

Well I must find fresh batteries so that I can document my next task ;). Untill then,

Day 13 ~ Nick

Hello there! Today I had a funking great day! Went downtown and to fourth avenue with Yashmine, Shalee, and Leah. Then we met up with Alex and somehow Lenaie was there too!? Yeah we found her in the Hippie Gypsie =]].

So to muh journal task
"Scribble wildly, violently, with reckless abandon."

These damn pages always look soooo plain just before I get to them ;). My next thought was "What to use? What to use?" Well I used whatever I found in my backpack.

I had quite a variety of items to use in my assault on the plain white page.

It looks so much better then I thought that it would. Well I've had a long day, and I'm tired. It's almost 10:00 pm so I'm going to bed. Untill tomorrow =],

Day 12 ~ Nick

I would like to start this entry expressing my belief that Mr. Garcia (American Government) and I are going to have to try a bit harder in order to get along this year. I mean the man moved me to the back of the class when I did nothing. My new permanant seat is in the back of the fourth row. =/ Never have I been moved to the back of the class, I'm a good noodle...

But I digress...
Today I opened the journal and the task that awaited me was this:

"Do SOme Rubbings With a Pencil."
So for the briefest instance I forgot what rubbings with a pencil was. But I eventually picked up on it. I used various coins and my house key as the subject of my art shown here:

and the subjects here:

Now isn't that nice? Well I actually thought it was a little boring. And what's funny was that I actually intended on doing some "pencil rubbings" on my yearbook before I opened the journal on this day. But since the journal's pages are much smaller than the yearbook's cover I used computer paper...

And here is just the "pencil rubbing" art:

So I have this nice graffite copy of my yearbooks cover but it needs to be in the journal. so I taped it in there :)

And since I had already numbered the pages before, I labled this new page by thirds =].
Well I'm not very good and ending these things, I'm off to read Jane Eyre for English. Untill tomorrow,

Day 11 now? lemme check... yes ~ Nick

Well hey there, I'm Nick. This is my first week with the journal. Well I enjoyed my day. I buckled down and decided to get rid of my old faithful, black jansport backpack. Well I actually had to trow it away on Friday when some freshman spewed his waffles all over it. >.<

But anyways today has been nice I plan to change the color of my black and white, checkered, and nicely designed backpack with a colored sharpie, considering how I've seen at least five kids with the same backpack today.

So to the task the journal left me. =]

"Scratch using a sharp object."
So I searched and searched and my brother mentioned that there was an Exacto knife on his dresser.

And there it is, the Exacto knife that I used to destroy that page, and mess up the page underneath it a little. =/

And here is what I've done,
I can proudly delclare that today I, Nicholas James Pinon, have succeded in scratching the journal with a sharp object (and played catch with the journal, and used it as a weapon against the evils of Yashmine Anderson.)
Well untill tomorrow my obediant blog readers.

Day 10 ~ Jess

Today is the last day I have to spend with the journal. Wanna know what I did with it?? I forgot it at home. That's what I did with it . . . . Nothing!

Nothing much to report today. I'm very tired and am writing this right before I go hop in bed. No school tomorrow . . . YAY

OH! A bit of exciting news: Tomorrow I will be attending a Green Day concert in Phoenix with my parental unit, her friend, my sister and her friend and my boyfriend :D WOOOO!!! I'm sooo stoked!! :D

Journal task for day 10 of the experiment-----PRESS LEAVES AND OTHER FOUND THINGS----Here's the pic:

The items found were a leaf, flower petal, a fortune cookie fortune, a piece of an envelope and some of my dogs hair that was laying on the floor.

Next week Nick will be with the Journal. Have fun reading about his week. I know I will. Until next time bloggers . . . .

Later Days!
